I'm Matt Murphy IV, the junior dragster that started a racing career at age 6. Yes, I can drive and I'm racing with a mission! Ten year-old Matt Murphy IV is a Jr. Racecar driver. He began racing dragsters at the age of six under the tutelage of his grandfather, Clarence "Mr. C" Millner, a former winner in the modified 470 stock car division. Peek into Matt's off the track world:
MATT the Student
1. A/B student, enjoys other competitive sports and owns several gumball machines.
2. Selected Student of the month each school year since kindergarten.
3. Recipient of Generosity award at school.

MATT the Inspirational Speaker
Inspires and motivates youth, 7-15 years of age, and parents by sharing his race car driver
story. He speaks in front of thousands at events such as the CIAA basketball tournament, North Carolina Black Arts Festival and numerous schools, churches, and other community related events.
MATT in the Community
1. Created Project SHARE (Sacrificing Hands are Real Examples), focuses on providing
resources to create a desired lifestyle for homeless youth.
2. Gained recognition by North Carolina's Governor Beverly Purdue for his efforts.
3. Awarded the 2009 Forsyth County Youth Volunteer award.
4. Annually sponsors a coat, scarf, hat and school supply drive for the homeless children;
generated over 150 coats.
5. Donated toys to Children in the Brenner Children's Hospital at Baptist Medical Center.
6. Annually sponsors Wellness and Image Fairs for homeless youth and families; Provided
book bags and jeans for over 150 youth going back to school.
7. To date 550 persons have benefitted from Project SHARE activities.
