It's about more than just racing...
It's about the spirit that made America.
The creation of Racing For Education, LLC (RFE) by Diversity Motorsports Racing, LLC in partnership with the Mary McLeod Bethune Legacy Preservation Institute, Inc. is an All-American story. It's an ownership team that reflects the diverse faces and backgrounds of America coming together to blend their individual talents to create that fresh approach the motorsports industry has been seeking. RFE is an organization which is approaching the racing industry from the sponsor's point of view, bringing accountability and transparency to racing. It's a motorsports team that races and supports “young people of promise” to give them a shot at the American Dream; to provide access to the opportunities this great country still offers. Racing For Education and Diversity Motorsports in conjunction with MMB Institute is the exciting new face of racing.
It's a team of drivers who have the experience, savvy and grit to overcome and win races and win at life. Mike Bliss, Ricky Byers and Hannah Baker are racing together for Diversity Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Almost two thirds of all U.S. Adults are motor sports fans and they love their winners. Yet beyond just winning, fans love the story of opportunity.
Racing For Education, LLC ("RFE") started as an initiative and developed into a campaign to
provide supplemental funding for our schools and students derived from the exciting and dynamic platform of motor racing in the NASCAR series of events. RFE is registered as a Limited Liability Company in North Carolina, and is owned jointly by Terrance Cox and Dr. Evelyn Bethune.
Engaging the expertise and success of Diversity Motorsports ("DMS") and the proven race shop of seasoned racer and engineer Bob Schacht, RFE developed in-house recognizing the need to provide quality education for children throughout the country. While this is the original aim, there is no reason to believe that this initiative cannot spread worldwide and RFE seeks to ensure it is first to market with its aims and successes to ensure its longevity in spearheading the program.
Securing the expertise of Dr Evelyn Bethune, granddaughter of Dr Mary McLeod Bethune, the founder of renowned Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida, as the "Face" of RFE, a team has been assembled bringing together a combination of talents from motor racing, education and the financing world to create, promote and manage the initiative and the awards that will be generated from the program.
